How Often Should an Ice Machine Be Serviced?

For most Boksburg hospitality sites, two full services a year works: one before the summer peak and one mid-year. That schedule covers descaling, sanitising, condenser cleaning and a performance check.

Hard water, dusty or greasy air, high machine duty relative to capacity, continuous-duty flake production and hot plant rooms all justify quarterly attention. Industrial machines are better scheduled on running hours than on the calendar.

Daily bin hygiene, scoop storage outside the ice, keeping vents clear and reporting changes in ice appearance early. Those habits prevent most of what we find at service time.
